“ Overview of MIL-STD-461E/F Emissions and Immunity Requirements ”

Program Summary:  The presentation will provide an overview of MIL-STD-461E emissions and immunity requirements. The talk will discuss the test setups and purpose. All tests will be discussed and the audience will be able to ask question which may focus the talk on what is of interest to the group. A tour of the NTS EMC facility will be arranged and demonstrations will be set-up based on time available.

Our Speaker:  Mr. Press has been working in the EMC field for over 22 years. In his present position as Corporate Director of EMC Operations for National Technical Systems, he is involved in commercial, military, and telecommunications EMC design and test. National Technical Systems consist of 7 laboratories internationally. He is responsible for all EMC technical issues and development nation-wide, has participated on Committees that have developed EMC Standards such as MIL-STD-461D/E, GR-1089, ANSI T1, DO-160, SAE, and EPRI 102323 Prior to his present position, he was Engineering Services Manager at R&B Enterprises.

Mr. Press holds a BA from Temple University and a MS from Iowa State University, both in Physics. He has published over 20 articles and a handbook on EMC test and design. Mr. Press is a NARTE certified EMC Engineer .
