Job Title: Cosite Engineer

Delcross Technologies is seeking a motivated professional to help support multiple projects for our defense and commercial customers. The Cosite Engineer will work with senior engineers to characterize broadband performance of transmitters and receivers installed on aircraft as well as the coupling between various antennas installed on the platform. The Cosite Engineer will also perform simulations to predict cosite interference problems using measured and/or synthetic broadband characterizations of transmitters, receivers, and antenna-to-antenna coupling. The successful candidate must have a good understanding of RF transmitters and receivers; specifically characterizing both in-band and out-of-band performance in terms of harmonics, spurious emissions, and spurious receiver responses. Further, the successful candidate must have a thorough understanding of concepts such as EMI Margin, SINAD, bit error rate (BER), sensitivity, susceptibility and other figures of merit for RF system performance. Performing simulations and interpreting the results is an important aspect of this position and the successful candidate must have experience in this area. Delcross currently has multiple contracts for developing software and hardware tools for simulating and measuring cosite interference between RF systems installed on military platforms. We are seeking an individual that can support and/or lead the development and application of these tools.

EDUCATION: M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering with industry experience in the fields of EMI/EMC and RF system testing. B.S. degree with equivalent experience is also acceptable.

Experience:  5 years industry experience required

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

DESIRED SKILLS: Experience in the simulation and analysis of cosite interference problems involving analog and digital RF systems. Sound understanding of RF engineering concepts and architectures. RF measurement and/or programming experience is a plus.

LOCATION: Champaign, IL

If you are interested in discussing this position, please send an e-mail to Matt Miller at mcmiller@delcross.com.
